Hosting a Community BBQ for St Mary’s House of Welcome’s service users is not only a great team-building exercise for your work group, but it’s a powerful, socially responsible immersion experience guaranteed to get you thinking about the way you view homelessness and the people it affects.
From providing nutritious and delicious food to offering a chance for our service users to enjoy spending time with the St Mary’s House of Welcome community, these BBQs are a key feature of our social inclusion program.
What can you expect on the day?
Key Details:
Suitable for groups of up to eight team members
From induction to clean-up and debrief, the duration is around 4 hours (10 am – 2 pm)
No food prep skills are required! Our kitchen staff will supervise your team to prepare, cook and serve a delicious spread of salads and BBQ treats.
A group contribution of $1,000 not only covers the cost of providing lunch for up to 150 individuals experiencing homelessness but also supports the vital program initiatives of St Mary’s House of Welcome.
