The Homeless Grapes Project

The Homeless Grapes Project began in 2015, when Jock Harvey from Chalk Hill Wines posted on Facebook that he had a surplus block of grapes that his team couldn’t pick, and anyone could have them for a donation to charity. Vinomofo CEO, Andre, saw an opportunity to make a crisp chardonnay with the grapes and send 100% of the profits to charity - and The Homeless Grapes Project was born.

Through The Homeless Grapes Project, Vinomofo recruited De Bortoli Wines, TarraWarra Estate and Rochford Wines to collaborate and make a special Yarra Valley chardonnay just for St Mary’s House of Welcome, with 100% of the proceeds going towards helping people experiencing chronic homelessness and disadvantage.
